Through the inauguration ceremony and the handover of clean water system, yen son commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa Province is approached using clean water

At 26/09/2019, the clean water supply system with capacity of 40m3/day is officially inaugurated and handed over to the population of 5 clusters of yen son commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa Province. This is a system for supplying clean water by the project “Local activities in Vietnam for environmental Health” – Local Works, funded by the United States International Development Agency (USAID), participating in supporting the same local construction. This clean water work contributes greatly to enhancing access to clean water and sanitation of the local population, ensuring the health and improvement of quality of life. The ceremony with the participation of sponsor representatives is the United States Agency for International Development (USAID); Representatives of the leaders of departments and the functions of Thanh Chemical Province, People’s Committee, communes, social organizations of the locality together with the participation of the people in the commune and the press agencies. Speaking at the ceremony, deputy Director of Health Department said: “The number of people using hygienic water in Thanh chemistry province has increased dramatically from 2012 to present, however there are still some local areas due to restrictions on economic conditions should have not been approached clean water.” With practical support from USAID and local governments, especially the active involvement of the society and the villagers of yen son, this clean water supply system has the capacity to provide enough water for 110 households equivalent to 347 residents in 5 residential clusters. This is the 5th construction project of “Local Vietnamese activities for environmental health” in collaboration with local construction units, contributing to the 04 clean water systems have been inaugurated and handed over to the year at the 04 fields of Yen son commune: Kindergarten A School , District B Kindergarten, Ha Lam Elementary School, Ha Lam Middle School.

Now people will not have to use water peach wells, non-standard drilling wells. Sharing the joy of people, Mr. Bui van Ha, medical center of Ha Trung district said: “Yen son commune is a river area, many pollutants, people with digestive diseases, dermatological diseases, eye diseases are many, especially the rainy season. Since people change to be consistently using more hygienic water, the above diseases have a relatively high rate of mitigation. ”

To raise awareness for the people of Water and health, on the same morning, the project has collaborated with the functional units of the Department of Health and Medical center of Ha Trung District, tram y and commune of Huyen Son, organizes the program “Day of Water and health” for consultation, health screening for people in the district of Yen son about the common diseases associated with Water related; At the same time, implementing the media campaign on water and health issues in the commune.
